UDF candidate chased and bitten by dog during election campaign

IDUKKI: A UDF candidate was bitten by a dog while campaigning for the local body elections. Jancy Viju, the UDF candidate in the second ward of Bison Valley panchayat in Idukki, was bitten by the dog when she arrived at a house during the election campaign.

The dog had not been tied up. When party workers arrived at a house asking for votes, the dog ran towards them. The candidate and the workers got scared and started running. In the confusion, Jancy was bitten by the dog. She was later taken to the Adimaly hospital, where she received a vaccine.
