Jammu, 15 November 2025: In a historic event to mark the 150th anniversary of national song Vande Mataram, BJP District Doda hosted a grand celebration at the Old Bus Stand. This event was part of the nationwide programme launched by the Central Government and witnessed overwhelming participation from citizens across Doda.

Pawan Sharma, State Secretary, BJP J&K, praised the Doda district for its transformation from a conflict-affected region to a beacon of peace and unity. He acknowledged the pivotal role of Doda in echoing the patriotic fervor of Vande Mataram. He underscored the deep historical significance of the song during the Swadeshi Movement and the Indian freedom struggle, noting how it united the nation in the fight for independence.
