A NOIDA-based astrologer arrested by the Mumbai police for allegedly sending a threat message claiming terrorists had entered the city with 400 kgs of RDX in September was granted bail by a magistrate court, which considered among other grounds that a stringent section has not been added against him by the police till date.
The court noted that the police had not made any submissions about adding Section 147 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita against the accused, which has provisions for punishment for waging a war or attempting or abetting to wage a war against the Government of India, which is punishable with death penalty or life imprisonment.
