Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif faced intense trolling after he congratulated the men’s cricket team for winning a bilateral ODI series against Sri Lanka, and he also commended the Pakistan Cricket Board chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, for ensuring that the series went ahead despite security concerns.

The eight-wicket win over Sri Lanka in the second ODI gave Pakistan a 2-0 unassailable lead in the three-match series, with the final game on Sunday, November 16. Pakistan won the first game by six runs, all in Rawalpindi.

Sri Lanka fumbled in the field, dropping Fakhar Zaman on 20, 28 and 78 before Janith Liyanage pulled off a stunner off pacer Dushmantha Chameera, but it was too late.
