The Kerala High Court on Friday directed the makers of the Malayalam movie Haal to resubmit their film to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) for review after objections over certain scenes and dialogues. The court directed the CBFC to take a final decision on the film within two weeks after receiving the revised submission, as per Live Law.

Haal , originally scheduled for release on September 12, challenged the ‘A’ certificate and multiple excisions, including a dance sequence with the heroine in a burqa, a police interrogation scene, and the blurring of Holy Angels College of Nursing’s name.

An ‘A’ certificate from the CBFC means the film is restricted to adult viewers aged 18 and above due to mature content.
