The six-goal deficit is their second-worst of the season, eclipsed only by an 8-1 loss to the Windsor Spitfires in the opener.

The Sting will try to salvage one win on their three-game eastern road trip Sunday in Kingston.

Starting goalie Patrick Quinlan was pulled after allowing three goals in 12:01.

He received a no-decision and escaped his seventh straight loss when Jordan Bax scored the Sting’s third goal with 1:49 left in the third period.

Evan Maillet took the loss after giving up six goals on 33 shots.
