The US Department of State’s December 2025 Visa Bulletin brings welcome news for Indian employment-based green card applicants, while family-based categories remain mostly stuck.
For employment-based categories, all major lines for India have moved forward. EB-1 has advanced by one month to 15 March 2022, EB-2 by one month and 14 days to 15 May 2013, and EB-3 by one month to 22 September 2013.
EB-4 also moves ahead to 1 September 2020, and the Religious Workers category is back after being unavailable in November. EB-5 investors see the biggest relief, jumping five months to 1 July 2021.
These changes mean Indian applicants in these categories can move closer to final green card approval.
Family-based categories, however, remain mostly frozen.
