JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man in his 40s is recovering after being shot at a bus stop on Normandy Boulevard in Jacksonville Saturday morning, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
JSO Sgt. Mitlyng said officers responded to the shooting, which occurred at the JTA bus stop at the intersection of Normandy Boulevard and Mikael Avenue, around 6:45 a.m.
When officers arrived, they located the victim with multiple gunshot wounds, according to Mitlyng. The man was then taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, Mitlyng told First Coast News.
JSO said based on its initial investigation, the shooter approached the man near the bus stop, and for an unknown reason, shot him.
