As expected throughout much of the 2025 cross country season, Flagstaff’s Taylor Biggambler and Yohanes van Meerten took home the Division II individual titles during Saturday’s AIA State Championhips at Cave Creek Golf Course in Phoenix.

In addition to van Meeeten’s individual title and new course record of 14:56.2, the Flagstaff boys team cruised to another team title with 54 points holding off second-place Campo Verde’s 85 points. Alex Bland took second overall followed by Uuts Masayumptewa in 13th and Ezra Varley in 17th to all earn medals. Copy article link Sign up for our newsletters
