WESTCHESTER COUNTY – Northwell Health’s Northern Westchester Hospital and Phelps Hospital, Northern Dutchess Hospital, and Putnam Hospital all received an “A” grade in Hospital Safety for the fall of 2025, according to the Leapfrog Group . The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade, the nation’s only rating program solely focused on hospital safety, assigns letter grades to more than 3,000 acute-care hospitals across the country twice a year. Grades are based on a hospital’s ability to prevent medical errors, injuries, accidents, and infections to indicate excellence in hospital safety.
