Before Friday’s game Adam Foote came with a message: the numbers show we’re doing OK.

And you know what, he’s not wrong.

The Canucks’ share of both shots and shot quality in the opening weeks of the season were abysmal.

But over the past couple weeks, that’s not been the case. The Canucks have truly brought their game up. They’re giving up fewer shots and not as much quality either.

Of course, Friday’s game will throw a lot of that trend out the window, with the Hurricanes absolutely thumping the Canucks in the shot count.
