Quarterback Colin Hurley is away from the LSU football team for personal reasons, an LSU spokesperson said on Saturday.
Hurley, a redshirt freshman, did not travel to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, in Week 11, and on Saturday, he was not spotted on the field with the rest of the Tigers for pregame warm-ups ahead of their matchup with Arkansas (11:45 a.m., SEC Network).
Hurley’s absence meant that the Tigers faced the Razorbacks with only one active scholarship quarterback: sophomore Mississippi State transfer Michael Van Buren.
