The Golden State Warriors edged out a thrilling 109-108 victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Friday night, marking their second win against San Antonio in just three days—both led by superstar Stephen Curry.
Curry erupted for 46 points on Wednesday and followed that up with 49 points on Friday, shooting 16-for-26 from the field and 9-for-17 from 3-point range.
With his performance, the NBA revealed historic milestones for the 37-year-old. Curry officially surpassed Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James for the most 40-point games by a player over the age of 35, now with seven.
He also became just the second player, alongside the legendary Michael Jordan, to record back-to-back 45-point games after turning 35.
