CHAMBLEE — Jonesboro struggled to solve Southwest DeKalb on offense and defense and lost 35-7 in the first round of the Class AAAA state playoffs Friday night at North DeKalb Stadium.

Jonesboro (6-5, 4-2) looked to establish the run, a strength as the season progressed, but Southwest stymied the ground game. The Cardinals were ineffective in must-pass downs too, and Jonesboro scored its fewest points since losing 24-0 to Douglas County in August. ×
