Chicago – This was the epitome of survive and advance.
Michigan overcame five turnovers, including three fumbles, and came back to beat Northwestern, 24-22, at Wrigley Field on Saturday on a last-play 31-yard field goal from Dominic Zvada, who had missed two earlier field-goal attempts.
The Wolverines, ranked No. 18, are 8-2 (6-1 Big Ten) and must win out to have a shot at the playoff. They now head to Maryland before returning to face Ohio State in Michigan Stadium.
