TAYLORSVILLE, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces the northbound and southbound I-65 Rest Areas near Taylorsville in Bartholomew County, between Exits 68 and 76, will close for reconstruction on or after Friday, December 5.
The northbound and southbound rest area locations will be converted to truck parking-only facilities. The project is anticipated to be complete in late 2027, weather permitting.
Both the northbound and southbound rest areas will remain closed throughout the project’s duration. Traffic impacts are not expected on I-65 during the construction.
Improvements planned for the Taylorsville Rest Areas (I-65 SB, MM 74.5 / I-65 NB, MM 72.5) are:
