Nitish Kumar is set to become the Chief Minister of Bihar for a record tenth time, as the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) prepares to form the government after winning more than 200 seats in the Bihar Assembly elections.

The longest-serving Chief Minister of the state, Kumar said Bihar would continue to progress and join the ranks of India’s most developed states.

“In the Bihar Legislative Assembly Elections 2025, the people of the state have expressed their confidence in our government by giving us a massive majority. For this, I bow to all the esteemed voters of the state and express my heartfelt gratitude,” he posted on X, as the NDA comfortably crossed the 122-seat majority mark on Friday, November 14.
