Hickman's Family Farms was acquired Nov. 14 by a global egg producer entering into the United States, ending over 80 years of Arizona-based ownership.

Mantiqueira USA, a newly formed company spun off from Mantiqueira Brasil, South America’s largest egg producer, purchased Hickman’s for an undisclosed amount.

Mantiqueira USA operates as joint venture between the Pinto Family, founders of Mantiqueira Brasil, and JBS N.V., the largest beef processor in the U.S .
