LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) — The LEGO company was founded in 1932 and is still one of the most recognizable toy brands almost 100 years later.

Fans of all ages gathered at the Sandhills Event Center over the weekend to see some of the most impressive LEGO creations from around the Midwest.

Brick Days had all kinds of creations, from a LEGO Lil’ Red, to the big city build, and even a farm. Those in attendance could even travel to the Sherwood Forest and to the Mines of Moria, where there was a ferocious Balrog waiting.

“It’s just a toy that is such an open medium to create whatever you want,” said Dan Schmidt, owner of Brick Days. “You can make art. You can make technical science-type stuff. You can make fantasy settings. You can do anything you want. It’s a pretty incredible product.”
