A 19-year-old Lancaster man will spend five to 13 years in state prison after he was found guilty of stealing a vehicle from a female pizza delivery driver at gunpoint last year, the district attorney’s office said.
Xavier Velazquez was sentenced on Oct. 27 after pleading guilty in June to robbery of a motor vehicle, criminal conspiracy to commit robbery of a motor vehicle, robbery and firearms not to be carried without a license, the Lancaster County district attorney’s office said in a news release.
Assistant District Attorney Jennifer Ponessa said Velazquez was “not taking as much responsibility as he should” for the June 7, 2024, armed robbery that happened during the early hours at the 100 block of East Vine Street in Lancaster City.
