A woman was with her husband and three-year-old son when she was hit while walking across the entrance to a car park in north Sydney, and she was rushed to hospital in a critical condition

A pregnant woman and her unborn child have died in tragic circumstances after being struck by a vehicle whilst crossing a car park entrance.

The expectant mother was accompanied by her husband and their three-year-old son when the incident occurred at the entrance to a car park on George Street in Hornsby, north Sydney, at approximately 8pm on Friday. A teenage motorist holding a provisional licence has since been charged in relation to the incident and faces a potential prison sentence of up to 10 years.
