Saturday the NHL team confirmed they’d signed free agent centre David Kampf to a one-year, $1.1 million contract. Kampf, 30, was released by the Toronto Maple Leafs this week. Article content Article content
He had been in the third season of four-year $9.6 million contract, but hadn’t appeared in a game this season and agreed to a mutual termination.
The Canucks weren’t the only team to chase after Kampf, but the Canucks were obviously the best fit.
