This has been a big week for the San Diego State women’s basketball program.
The Aztecs on Saturday afternoon defeated Cal State Bakersfield 78-48 at Viejas Arena for a third straight win since opening the season with a 77-53 loss to third-ranked UCLA.
Earlier in the week, the Aztecs earlier this week signed two highly regarded 6-foot-3 high school post players.
And while not overly satisfied with her team’s performance Saturday, Aztec head coach Stacie Terry-Hutson saw much to like.
“We’re getting better and learning how to win,” said Terry-Hutson. “For the second game in a row, I don’t think we came out and played to the best of our ability in the first quarter. But we were able to bounce back. We didn’t shoot the ball the way we have been.
