BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - The Baton Rouge Police Department is investigating the killing of a 37-year-old man who was beaten and shot on Lorraine Street.

According to detectives, the shooting happened at around 5:12 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 14. The victim, identified as Darrell McBride, was at an address in the 2700 block of Lorraine Street when he was attacked and shot.

McBride was taken to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Detectives say the investigation is ongoing. No suspect information has been released at this time.
