The Wild had four days between games, and they came out with one of the best defensive efforts of the season. They took down the Ducks 2-0 on Saturday night at home for their third shutout of the season.

After a scoreless first period, Marcus Johansson found the back of the net less than one minute into the second period. His seventh goal of the season was assisted by Matt Boldy and Ryan Hartman.

Minnesota's third-year goaltender Jesper Wallstedt was in between the pipes for the fifth time this season, and he delivered his second straight shutout. He saved 36 shots in Sunday's win over the Flames, and he saved 27 shots on Saturday night against the Ducks.
