Duke football dropped its second conference game of the season in a 34-17 loss to No. 19 Virginia on Saturday, Nov. 15 at Wallace Wade Stadium.

The Blue Devils (5-5, 4-2 ACC) were kept out of the end zone until the fourth quarter when Darian Mensah connected with Cooper Barkate for an 11-yard reception. Tre Freeman picked off Chandler Morris on the Cavaliers next possession, taking it 18 yards to the end zone for Duke ’s second and final touchdown of the night.

Duke’s offense was held to a season-low 255 total yards and averaged just 4.5 yards per play. Mensah was held to a season-low 213 yards through the air with one touchdown and a fumble while Duke’s running game struggled to find momentum, finishing with 42 yards on the ground.
