HAMPTON, Va. — Police in Hampton are investigating a homicide.

Around 9:10 p.m. Saturday, police posted on social media, saying the investigation was centered around the 500 block of Newport News Avenue. That's in West Hampton between LaSalle Avenue and Kecoughtan Road, not far from Easton Park.

Authorities did not provide any further details.
