Charismatic all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and keeper-batter Sanju Samson are set for fresh beginnings after Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals confirmed their blockbuster player swap ahead of IPL 2026.

With the retention deadline closing on Sunday, long-time CSK star Jadeja has moved to Rajasthan Royals, at a reduced fee of ₹14 crore (down from ₹18 crore). Samson, who captained RR for four seasons, will join CSK at his existing fee of ₹18 crore.

The IPL’s official advisory on Sunday formalised one of the league’s most dramatic trades, marking new chapters for two of its biggest names.
