ORONO -- The Maine Black Bears fell to the first place Rhode Island Rams 45-13 on Saturday afternoon.

Early in the game, Rams quarterback Devin Farrell found offensive lineman Dontay Bishop in the endzone to give Rhode Island a 14-0 lead.

In the second quarter, the Black Bears inched closer when quarterback Carter Peevy threw a 47-yard touchdown to Scott Woods to make the score 14-7.

The Black bears wouldn't find much success after that score, and their winning streak comes to an end after losing 45-13.

The Black Bears will be on the road to take on the University of New Hampshire next Saturday.
