Trevor Harris got in front of the microphones and TV cameras on Saturday knowing there were two people among the reporters who weren’t going to ask him any questions.

Inspiration, though? The Saskatchewan quarterback would get that in spades — from his parents.

“They have nine lives,” Harris said. “And they’re on their third one.”

Tom and Suzanne Harris made the trip to Winnipeg to watch their son try to win his first Grey Cup as a starter on Sunday. The fact Harris still has this chance, at 39, pales in comparison to his mom and dad still having the chance to see it. A motorcycle crash in 2012 had them fighting for their lives.
