MENASHA, Wis. (WBAY) - Some members of the Menasha community are planning how they’ll cook up their free Thanksgiving turkey after going head-to-head in a basketball tournament with first responders at Menasha High School.
As a way to bring the community together and hand out 50 free turkeys to those in need, up to 200 people throughout the day also took part in the “Ball 4 It All Turkey Ball” tournament on Saturday.
“The fact that they can get so many people here for this event is really amazing and a testament to the community here,” says Aristotle Peters, a special education teacher at Appleton West High School.
