With the onset of winter, Indian Railways has released a list of cancelled and diverted trains. While trains are typically cancelled during winter due to increased fog, this time the cancellations and diversions are due to ongoing track upgrades. Notably, track upgrades at the Shalimar station yard will continue until November 21, affecting several long-distance trains. In addition, several trains have been diverted to alternate routes.
Why are the trains cancelled?
