Bhubaneswar: The Odisha capital recorded the season’s lowest temperature of 13°C on Sunday with the night-time reading 6.4 notches below normal, amid the continuing cold wave.

The state capital witnessed its first cold wave spell this season on Friday when the minimum night temperature dropped below normal by 4.6°C to record 14.8°C.
Interestingly, Bhubaneswar had recorded its all-time lowest minimum temperature this month at 9.7°C on November 30, 1970, followed by 10.9°C on November 26, 1968.
The night temperature also touched 13.4°C, 5.3°C below normal, in the neighbouring Cuttack, in the last 24 hours.
