Melissa McCarthy is returning to host “ Saturday Night Live ” this December.
It was revealed during this week’s episode that McCarthy will host the NBC sketch comedy series with musical guest Dijon on Dec. 6. It will be McCarthy’s sixth time hosting, and her first time leading the show since 2017. She has also appeared on the show multiple times as former Trump press secretary Sean Spicer among other cameo appearances.
McCarthy has received six Emmy nominations for her work on “SNL,” including winning the award for best guest actress in a comedy series for the show in 2017.
Dijon will be making his “SNL” debut with his appearance on the Dec. 6 episode.
