BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko has never been one to show much emotion.

But as his quarterback, Marcel Reed, walked towards him at midfield of a packed Kyle Field, he couldn’t resist a moment of excitement.

“Come on, man!” Elko exclaimed, giving Reed a five and a short hug.

Saturday’s 31-30 win for the third-ranked Aggies over South Carolina was more than an emotional rollercoaster. It was a swinging pirate ship on a tilt-o-whirl raging backward on its rails. Fittingly, Elko described most of the morning bout as a blur.

The Aggies rallied from a 27-point deficit at halftime to win by one point, notching the largest comeback in program history and becoming the first Southeastern Conference team to come back a 27-point hole to win since 2004. That’s 1-in-286 attempt
