Amended appropriations bill

The House on Nov. 12 voted 222-209 to pass the Senate amendment to the Continuing Appropriations, Agriculture, Legislative Branch, Military Construction and Veterans Affairs, and Extensions Act (H.R. 5371). The amended bill would fund federal government programs through Jan. 30, and provide fiscal 2026 appropriations for the Agriculture Department, Veterans Affairs Department, and military construction and legislative branch programs. A supporter, Rep. Tom Cole, R-Okla., said: “The legislation before us reopens the government, restores critical services, and puts an end to the needless hardship Democrats have inflicted on the country.” An opponent, Rep.
