SRINAGAR, Nov 16: Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) on Sunday conducted searches at the home of a doctor in Anantnag district as part of its investigation into the ‘white collar terror module’, officials said.
The raid was carried out during the night at Malaknag, where CIK teams discovered that a female doctor from Haryana was living in the house as a tenant. Officials said a mobile phone was seized from the residence and sent for forensic analysis.
Meanwhile, Bilal Ahmad Wani—a dry fruit seller detained for questioning along with his son Jasir—attempted to set himself on fire in Qazigund, according to officials. He was shifted to GMC Anantnag with burn injuries and is stated to be stable, while his son remains in custody.
