Her decision came just a day after the RJD faced a major defeat in the assembly elections, winning only 25 out of 243 seats. She told the media that she stepped away because RJD MP Sanjay Yadav advised her to do so. Sanjay Yadav is a close aide of her brother, Tejashwi Yadav. Rohini, who once donated a kidney to her father, said, “This is what Sanjay Yadav asked me to do.”
