The new Buffalo Bills stadium is expected to be open in July 2026. Construction won't be officially finished for months afterward.

The Bills plan to play all of their home games in New Highmark Stadium next season. However, a construction report filed with the Erie County Stadium Corporation and obtained by WGRZ notes that full completion isn’t expected until December 2026.

“We have no choice but to make sure this building is ready (in July) for the football team and for our fans," Bills COO Pete Guelli said in May.

The team plans to obtain a certificate of occupancy while still putting the finishing touches on the stadium — meaning county officials will have deemed it structurally safe for events even as work continues. July 2026 is the target.
