Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting in Newark Saturday that killed a young woman and a child, and injured three others.
A 10-year-old boy and a 21-year-old woman died from their injuries after being rushed to University Hospital, according to a statement from the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.
The other victims — an 11-year-old boy, a 19-year-old man and a 60-year-old man — were in stable condition, the office said.
The shooting took place at the corner of Chancellor Avenue and Leslie Street around 7 p.m. Saturday. Just hours later, a $10,000 reward for information was announced.
