Temba Bavuma entered his name in the history books on Sunday, November 16, by leading South Africa to a famous win over India. In the first Test of the ongoing two-match series played at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, the Bavuma-led South African team defeated India by 30 runs. They successfully defended the target of 124 runs on Sunday (November 16) by bowling India out for just 93 runs in their second innings.

Simon Harmer picked up four wickets for the visitors, and two Indian batters each were sent back to the pavilion by Marco Jansen and Keshav Maharaj. Bavuma’s deputy Aiden Markram also picked up the crucial wicket of Washington Sundar, who top-scored for the hosts in the second innings.
