Knicks’ Landry Shamet credits MSG crowd for career-best performance

New York Knicks guard Landry Shamet experienced the game of his life in the Knicks’ exhilarating 140-132 win over the Miami Heat on Thursday, and the Madison Square Garden crowd showed their appreciation.

Shamet scored a career-high 36 points — 30 in the second half — in the win. His performance came at the perfect time for the Knicks, who were already playing without Jalen Brunson, and lost OG Anunoby to a hamstring injury early in the contest.

Shamet has been a revelation for the Knicks off the bench so far this season after signing for the minimum with the team in the offseason, averaging 10.0 points per game and shooting 44 percent from three-point range.
