Ilia Topuria has suggested Islam Makhachev's UFC 322 title victory was 'boring'.

And Makhachev has already teased a future UFC showdown with Topuria in response, with tensions heating up.

The Russian star become a two-weight champion, as he dominated and defeated Jack Della Maddalena in a routine victory to dethrone the Australian.

It saw him equal Anderson Silva's 16-fight winning streak in comfortable fashion, with MMA fans questioning who will have the opportunity to try and halt him next.

Immediately after the clash, Topuria took to social media to take aim at the new 170lbs king.

He wrote: "Islam, you need something you can’t train: emotion.

"You’re the most boring thing in this game. Every day I’m more certain I put you to sleep."

On Della Maddalena's performance, he added
