Maybe the third time's the charm for the Buffalo Bills ' alternate uniforms.

Buffalo (6-3) will wear its white “standing buffalo” throwback uniforms for Sunday’s 1 p.m. home game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Highmark Stadium.

The Bills are 0-2 in alternates this year, falling 23-20 to New England in Week 5 while debuting their icy “Cold Front” Rivalries set and losing 24-14 to Atlanta in Week 6 when they last wore the throwbacks.

Buffalo is throwing back to its early AFL roots, wearing the all-white set first introduced in 1962 and used through 1973.
