An 84-year-old woman has succumbed to her injuries after she was pulled from a 2-alarm fire in an Annex home on Saturday night, according to officials.

Emergency crews were called to the residential address of 25 Boswell Avenue just after 11 p.m. to find every floor of the house engulfed in flames, Toronto fire told the Star.

Firefighters entered the building’s main floor to preform a search and rescue. After locating the occupant on the second floor, the crew successfully removed the woman from the building.

Following the rescue, the woman was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, where she later died from her injuries, Toronto police said in a post to X .
