BATON ROUGE -- The University of Arkansas football team received the ball first for the 10th straight game Saturday after LSU won the coin toss and deferred its option until the second half in the Tigers 23-22 victory over the Razorbacks.
The Hogs' promising first drive ended with a fumble by running back Mike Washington Jr. at the LSU 27. However, Arkansas' defense and special teams came to the rescue.
The Razorbacks forced a three-and-out and freshman linebacker Wyatt Simmons blocked a Tigers punt at their 16.
"We practiced it all week," Arkansas interim Coach Bobby Petrino said. "We had the extra day on Sunday night, so we focused on blocking a punt. He did a great job in practice all week ... working on hitting it on time. ... He (Simmons) did a hell of a job. That was a really good
