New Delhi: For the past few days, a term has been in the news, “AI Psychosis”. This means that some people are experiencing problems like mental delusions and dangerous thinking while interacting with Artificial Intelligence (AI) chatbots. They are unable to distinguish between reality and fantasy and are becoming confused. This problem is especially prevalent in those with existing mental health problems. The study found that people are seeking help from AI chatbots like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Grok for mental health issues like counselling, support, or suicide prevention. Experts believe this support is responsible for AI psychosis.
