NEWARK, N.J. (PIX11) — Police are investigating a shooting that killed two people , including a 10-year-old boy, in Newark, New Jersey, Saturday night.

The deadly shooting happened around 7 p.m. on Chancellor Avenue, killing two people whose lives were just beginning, according to the Essex County Prosecutor.

In addition to the little boy, a 21-year-old woman was also killed, according to Newark Mayor Ras Baraka. Multiple others, including an 11-year-old boy, were injured in the shooting.

The Essex County Sheriff is offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest in the shooting.
