EAST LANSING — One of Michigan State’s biggest offensive weapons hardly had the ball in his hands Saturday, one more reason the Spartans walked out of Spartan Stadium for the final time this season with a seventh straight loss.

Sophomore receiver Nick Marsh completed just two catches for 5 yards on 8 targets during a 28-10 loss to Penn State. “Nick’s been working just like all the guys and yeah, we’d love to see some more passes completed to him,” Michigan State coach Jonathan Smith said. “I know we got some targets his way. We wanted some more completed to him.”

Penn State’s secondary double teamed Marsh at times and otherwise put pressure on redshirt freshman quarterback Alessio Milivojevic, who completed 17 passes on 27 attempts for 128 yards. His best receiver was actually a running
