The Los Angeles Dodgers received an injury update on free agent outfielder Kiké Hernández.
Hernández has played nine seasons with the Dodgers, winning three World Series rings with the team. The 34-year-old veteran was limited to only 92 games this season, slashing .203/.255/.366 with 10 home runs and 35 RBIs. He dealt with a lingering elbow issue, which held him out for over a month of the season, but stepped up in the postseason, making big plays for Los Angeles.
MLB.com's Jeffrey Lutz reported Saturday that Hernández underwent left elbow surgery to deal with a lingering injury he played through during the season.
